Gamerule to stop slimes spawning

Lots of slimes spawn on my flat worlds and the only way to get rid of them at the moment is peaceful or a constant command to kill slimes and sometimes I want hostile mobs for some of my redstone contraptions, but not slimes. It would be nice if there was a gamerule to stop slimes spawning. ——————————— Example: /gamerule SlimeSpawning false /gamerule SlimeSpawning true

I feel like there's a better solution to the newfound slime issue, but I don't really know what it would be.
