Due to the frequency of the new update drops in the game modders on Java have already had a hard enough time keeping up for the last year, but now hotfixes are counting as full releases making mods that are updated for less than a week have to do another full update to keep up with the new releases. This makes things difficult for people who want to use the convenience of realms while still having the quality of life improvements from client side mods. Modders were already getting burnt out from trying to keep up with the current update schedule and now they have to seemingly update every week for the hotfixes. I do not know if this is an attempt to end the modding community for the game but I'm beginning to believe it is, though I truly hope that is not the case. Modding has been a huge part of the game for an incredibly long time and I think it would be a shame to watch it all go away due to the frequency of game drops and updates. I'm not sure how the rest of the community feels but I personally would prefer more distance between the more refined and developed updates that have higher quality changes and are more full and focusing on improvements and additions to the game that the community actually wants and not what is seemingly filler content. I know in the past the game has gone to both sides of this where it updates too frequently and where It goes long periods of time without an update. I hope that in its current state it won't hurt the game or its player base.
