With the Wild Update being focused on emersion, these two bugs would fit the update well. Crickets and Cicadas could be like counterparts, as far as day and night. Crickets could spawn at nighttime in most biomes but have a higher spawn rate in the new Mandrake Swamp. While Cicadas spawn during the daytime and spawn in most biomes as well but they have a higher spawn rate in either the new Birch Forest or, my personal favorite, the Savana, if it gets a face lift too. Both would be passive mobs that like to hang out on trees, both would flee from frogs and spiders, both would be mainly there for ambient noise but could also be killed for either Chitin to make various items, or the bug itself to be cooked and eaten to fill up 2-2.5 hunger things. Obviously, their sounds would be a key feature; however, keeping the number that can naturally spawn low would be best for players so that they can still be heard, but they aren't drowning out everything else, especially cicadas. These mobs don't have to be exactly how I said, but I do truly feel these two creatures would tackle the 'emersion' theme really well.
