About the Java background process

Here's what happened - while I was playing the game, I switched graphics APIs and then clicked to exit the game, but the Java background process for the game kept running. I had to use Task Manager to force it to close. Using a third-party launcher: Hello Minecraft Launcher Maybe it's just a coincidence.
