Since the main thing mentioned for Sulfur Cubes were their possible Redstone and Minigames usage I think it needs two features to be able to excel in those departments
- A way to make it fit to a grid: This is extremely important, it'll make it's use much more predictable and could be a simple action like shift right clicking to make it fit to the closest block. Without this i don't know if it'll be used in many mechanisms since you wouldn't be able to make the same mechanism twice consistently easily
- Make it dyeable: For it to be used in different minigames it needs to fit different aesthetics, what easier way to do that than making it dyeable? It'd also help with some archetypes that don't have variation like honeycomb, if you want to use honeycomb but want to different teams just dying it would suffice, plus it's not like dying any mob, sulfur is known for its ability to dissolve things so being able to absorb dyes would make sense
