Add birds that drop feathers, with different variants depending on the biome, such as crows in spruce forests or around crop farms, where they could eat crops unless you place a scarecrow (using an armor stand) to keep them away and have them sit on it or fly around; there could also be seabirds on sandy beaches and other types to match the wide variety already in the game (like the many tropical fish). Some birds could be used to deliver messages by attaching a letter and sending them to a location or even tagging a player (e.g., @playername) so the bird finds or teleports to them. Overall, birds would be a fun and immersive addition to Minecraft, fitting well alongside pets like cats and dogs in players’ homes while also adding more meaningful interactions with mobs.
