Creeper life cycle inside sulfur caves

since creepers contain enough gunpowder to create an explosion capable of creating a several meter deep crater, they would require a lot of sulfur in order to make all that gunpowder. So, the addition of the sulfur caves would make a great opportunity to explain where their life cycle would take place and where they would get all of that sulfur. the idea is that the sulfur caves could be a biome where creepers have a higher chance of spawning and also have a larval or baby form. but instead of the creepers breeding with each other, (this next part wouldn't actually be a feature, this is just theoretical lore) I was thinking the creepers would actually explode on players to spread spore-like organisms that would land on the players to feed on their nutrients, but since so much sulfur is required for them to grow, this process could only take place in sulfur caves.
