Both the Slime and Magma cube drop an item. So why can't the Sulfur cube, too? After all, it is part of the slime family, and it would just make sense. So here's what I think: Upon death, a small sulfur cube will drop sulfur slime. This could be applied to copper blocks to automatically move it to the next stage in oxidization, removing the tedious wait needed to just get oxidized copper. And it would save you the axe durability needed to go to a trial chamber and un-oxidize all the copper there to the desired stage. However, the sulfur slime is consumed upon usage. Anyways, you could also use 9 sulfur slime to craft potent sulfur, and 4 potent sulfur to craft 4 regular sulfur, making sulfur a farmable resource. Even though the uses are slim, it would give the sulfur cube a purpose beyond minigames and multiplayer, making it actually useful for survival.
