I agree, but from a purely aesthetic point of view. Geothermal activity has nothing to do with the surface temperature of it's location, and sulfur itself is a pretty common element. Like, yellowstone national park is a massive coniferous forest (that's a spruce biome in minecraft terms) that is KNOWN for its hot springs. However, the current sulfur springs (or really just sulfur spring) designs are not the best it could be, and I think they should implement a "clearing" around each spring in forest areas (sorta like the nether portal) to make the transition less harsh instead of just plonking down in the forest somewhere. Since currently they haven't done that, I personally think the sulfur caves is perfect for the MESA biome since the color scheme lines up and a lot of famous hotsprings are in badland territory. Plus, the sulfur spring design kinda makes sense there. So either they do this or just make the transition a bit less harsh.
