Β The Calibrated Sculk Sensor is currently difficult to use due to its lack of precision and the excessive space required for wool insulation. Here are a few ways I would improve it:
1. Enhanced Calibration
Currently, many detectable sounds are grouped into the same frequency categories, making them hard to distinguish for certain machines. I propose that right-clicking the sensor with an Echo Shard, or placing a specific block nearby, should allow the player to further differentiate and isolate specific sounds within those categories.
2. Relay-Only Mode
By right-clicking a Calibrated Sculk Sensor with an Amethyst Shard, it would enter a "Relay-Only" mode. In this state, the sensor would only relay signals from other sensors via the amethyst vibration system, rather than detecting new ambient sounds. This would provide a reliable way to connect Redstone machines wirelessly without outside interference.
3. Wool Padding Integration
Add the ability to directly "pad" the six sides of a sensor using Wool Carpets. This mechanic would provide soundproofing without occupying additional blocks of space (unlike the current method of placing full wool blocks around it), allowing for much more compact Redstone designs.
