Description:
I propose a new utility block: the Redstone Jammer. This idea came to me after falling into a clever redstone trap—I realized we need a way to counter such mechanisms without destroying them.
Key Features:
Anti-Trap Pulse: When placed and activated (or powered), it emits a "jamming field" (e.g., 5x5x5) that temporarily freezes all redstone activity. Redstone dust stays dark, and pistons or dispensers won't trigger.
The "Safe Zone": It allows players to safely bypass hidden traps, tripwires, and pressure plates in desert temples or player-made bases.
Energy Capacitor: The Jammer "steals" the power from the signals it blocks. This stored energy can then be drawn out from the other side to power your own devices.
Chunk Loading: To make it useful for long-term builds, it keeps its current chunk loaded, ensuring your machines (or the Jammer itself) keep working while you explore.
Why it’s a game-changer:
It adds a new "stealth" layer to the game. Instead of just breaking blocks, players can use strategy to disable defenses. It’s perfect for both survival adventurers and technical players needing reliable chunk loading.
