Sulfur Cube Place Block on Death

I believe that having the sulfur cube place the block it is holding upon death could create some interesting use cases. The way I imagine it would work would be on death it could run a function similar to the fill command, where if should replace air or water with the block inside in the location it died. There would need to be considerations for the summoning of the two smaller cubes, either they dont spawn when it has a block in it, or they are spawned above or next to the block. The placing of the block could be specific to the death type, such that only certain deaths actually cause the block to be placed.
