Sulfur and cinnabar are two potential-filled blocks, and they shouldn't end up like copper ended up years ago, let's avoid repeating the same mistake.
Sulfur should be used for a nausea potion, that could potentially work on mobs too by scrambling their pathfinding, while cinnabar should be used for blindness ones. All of this just fits what their counterparts do in real life and will just appear as wasted if not added.
In addition, sulfur should be used to make a new fire color, purple (since Minecraft has recently adopted a liking for chemistry, which is great), and their lanterns should use gold instead of iron given the corrosive nature of sulfur. It should also be used in a recipe for gun powder or an explosive material (again just to match his counterpart).
Last but not least, hot springs. It's just natural. Where there's a big reserve of sulfur in the world, there often are hot springs. They should not be just small ponds of water though. They could be hot biome exclusive lakes filled with potent sulfur and geysers, which could make Minecraft's sandbox possibilities even bigger.
