There are exploits for killing the warden with golems, for example having an iron golem attack the warden while the player heals it with iron,* or having an out of reach snow golem keep the warden angry at it while it is killed through other methods (potions, environmental damage). My suggestion is that golems do not attack the warden, and instead run from it. This would, in addition to solving an exploit, give the warden an even scarier appearance, as it is frightening away a big, strong defender made of iron which fearlessly attacks every other hostile creature in the game (except creepers) .
*is an exploit because the player can just stand by the golem with button held down and be completely fine
