Cinnabar could be used to create mercury and a special dye

Cinnabar is a fantastic feature but its missing purpose. Ideas for the purpose of cinnabar: Dye - In the past, people used cinnabar to create a type of red-orange dye called vermilion, although it is highly toxic, people used it for artwork, wall painting and lacquerware (plates, bowls and vases).

Next idea: Mercury - Cinnabar can be used to create mercury( liquid ) by applying lots of heat. Mercury could be used to create fluorescent light blocks, similar to the redstone lamp and other light blocks. You could also add buckets of mercury which players could use to create defence. If near liquid mercury you could be damaged similar to the sulfur water. If you jumped in liquid mercury you could make the player "slide" around as mercury is very dense, because of this it would be impossible to swim in it. The player could also become trapped/stuck in the mercury because of the density.

    I've always liked the idea of making a generic "dye" item that is made whenever two dyes are combined. Like leather armor, it would just be a gray texture that is colored later on. Instead of dropping a whole new dye, it could drop this, with the preset colors being a mix of orange and red.
