The first idea.

The new elytra will be on a new ship or on an old one, depending on the End City developers. The elytra will be craftable from available items. Because it won't be an ordinary elytra, you can fly it without using fireworks. And you'll be able to fly it even longer and faster. Or you can craft it using two phantom membranes, one erythra, a pearl, and three meteorite ingots. And it won't wear out as quickly, because it will have an enchantment that slows down the wear.
