Connected Crystals

A system of connected crystals, similar to texture packs that usually require mods or experiments to function, seems like a good idea to implement by default in the game. These texture packs usually don't work on their own because, being just textures, they don't change the block's behavior, and it would be much better if the game itself could have the system of connected crystals to make the crystals more beautiful and the constructions even more beautiful.
