Minecraft Realm Auto-Update

It is to my understanding that minecraft Realms auto-update to the newest and most recent version of minecraft automatically. This is all well and good; but minecraft is notoriously a resource hog. Players like myself who play on laptops or old devices struggle immensely with new updates. I personally use an add-on that helps with lowering the required specs for minecraft to run. But when it automatically updates to the brand new update- it leaves me with an unplayable, lagging mess. I cannot play on my own realm, that I pay for. 

Initially i believed this wasn't an issue, but i am aghast to discover i cannot alter the version of MY OWN REALM THAT I PAY FOR. And I am instead forced to play whatever new thing has popped up. I believe it would be a good idea for inclusivity of all players, including low-income players and those who require specific shaders for certain needs (such as colourblind shaders, ect) to allow the owner of the realm to CHOOSE what version they play on. I am entirely disgruntled. I just wanted to come home after a long day, and play minecraft. I now, cannot.
