fix minecraft villagers

we should be able to make a good minecraft villager farm without them claiming jobs that they can not see. i spent 9+ hours trying to fix my villager trading hall. i even put the villagers 100+ blocks down and somehow they still claim jobs. they should make it so villagers can claim jobs they can see. instead ones that are 100+ blocks away also ones that can’t see. please fix this. i am so tired.
