Ideas for Expanding Minecraft – “Chaos Cubed” & Beyond

Hello Mojang!
I’m excited about Chaos Cubed and wanted to share a few ideas that could expand exploration and gameplay around the new sulfur cave systems.

1. Hook Block

A Hook Block could allow players to move quickly through caves.

Mechanic:

• If a player casts a fishing rod onto the Hook Block, it pulls the player toward the block, similar to a grapple.
• Could be crafted with iron, chains, and a hook item.
• This would help players explore vertical caves or build parkour courses.

2. New Gemstones – Ruby and Sapphire

Adding two new gems could expand Minecraft’s equipment progression.

Ruby and Sapphire:

• Found only in Sulfur Caves.
• Tool durability between diamond and netherite.
• Slightly different bonuses:
  • Ruby: faster mining speed.
  • Sapphire: higher enchantability.

This would add variety without replacing existing tiers.

3. Pearls and Clam Mobs

Pearls could introduce a new ocean feature.

Clam Mob:

• Nautilus-like creature found in coral reefs.
• Occasionally drops pearls (about 40% chance).

Uses:

• Craft Ender Pearls by surrounding Crying Obsidian with pearls.
• Could also be decorative or used in trading.

4. New Advancements

Home Run
Hit a Sulfur Cube so it travels 50 blocks away.

Jewelry Box
Place diamond, gold, emerald, ruby, sapphire, and pearl in the same shulker box.

Stickier Situation
Walk 100 blocks on sulfur.

Slowness to the Maximum
Drink Turtle Master II, stand in a cobweb, hold a drawn bow, crouch, and walk on sulfur.

Goal!
Knock a Sulfur Cube into a tunnel.
