If the warden were to take explosion damage, he would then become immune to it until he is damaged by something else. Ex: if you shoot the warden with a bow, you would then have to damage him some other way before shooting him again. This would make it much harder to farm the warden as you would have to use multiple methods to kill him. It would also prevent players from using end crystals to kill it very fast.
