Minecraft at its core is a game about creativity, about playing the game how you want to play it. Most people enjoy the game through its Survival Mode, but we Creative Mode players are out there too. Here are my ideas for ways to further improve Creative Mode:
- Introduce a slider for the distance limit for black placement/destruction, with a maximum of infinite. I would love to be able to touch up my builds from 50+ blocks away, so I don't have to constantly fly closer and farther to see the big picture.
- Add a zoom hotkey. The spyglass fulfills this in Survival Mode, but why not a more powerful version for Creative? Just like while using OptiFine, we could hold down C to zoom in without any of the screen becoming blacked out. Combined with the above point, this could be a very powerful building tool.
- Add a player collision toggle set to a hotkey. When I'm navigating my builds, it's annoying to have to switch to and from Spectator Mode to pass through blocks. Why not make it so I can press a key to enable NoClip?
- Faster flying options. We can use the scroll wheel to fly faster in Spectator Mode, why not Creative? Maybe we'd have to hold down a chosen key too so it doesn't interfere with hotbar scrolling.
- Saved teleportation points. It would be so nice to be able to click one button to teleport to a chosen location without having to remember which coordinates to type in. It could be combined into a command, like the popular /warp command in many Minecraft servers.
