Currently, there is no way to move a tile entity in Java Edition. A fix for this would be to allow tile entities to function in a sulfur cube. Some tile entities act the same as if they were in block form, some work differently in a sulfur cube.
List of tile entities with different functions in a sulfur cube:
- Campfire and Soul Campfire - Burns the sulfur cube after a while, unless water is put into it. In addition, noxious gas is created as well.
- Note block - Goes up by one octave.
- Sign - Text is rendered as yellow.
- Cauldron (Only a tile entity on Bedrock) - Water inside renders yellow as opposed to the usual blue. Powder snow causes the sulfur cube to take freeze damage. Lava inside will damage the sulfur cube. In Bedrock Edition, water cauldrons inside the sulfur cube can be dyed, but the final dye color will be blended by 25% of a yellow tint. In Bedrock Edition, potions inside affect the sulfur cube with the contained status effect.
- Chests and Copper Chest - A copper golem cannot open it in this state.
- Brewing Stand - Adding fuel inside will damage the sulfur cube.
- All Furnace types - Powering the furnace will damage the sulfur cube.
