"As the slain sink deeper into the skulk, vile parasites take host to the husk and soon emerge, searching the dark for innocent prey."
A nice little description for a small mob idea I had involving the skulk infestations given from the new 1.19 snapshot. Skusks are basically a "faker" to a lot of player sized mobs, and can be found in two ways. They take many shapes: ranging from a skeleton to a zombie to even a steve player, hiding 4 skulky arms in between the husk's and 2 between the legs. One way to rarely encounter them is by randomly finding them in the deepslate layers, and the other is a chance to emerge from a skulk clump if a mob / player was slain in a skulk catalyst. Appearing normal at first, they catch prey offguard by revealing the skulky arms / legs and taking form of a sort of spider. They mostly prey on zombies, skeletons, creepers (less likely), other player sized mobs, and players.
Tips:
-A good way to know if a mob is a skusk is to notice if they don't make any sounds.
-If you have a bow and know it's a skusk, aim for the head. It'll drop its mob head and give you the achievement "There's an Imposter!".
