The Trial Chambers were a massive win for Minecraft. They brought exactly what the community loves: dynamic combat mechanics, great rewards (like the Mace), and a fun loop of challenge and exploration. This is the direction the game should follow.
However, recent updates focusing on "cosmetic" additions, like the new baby mobs or biomes that feel empty, miss the mark for long-term players. Instead of adding decorative content that doesn't impact the core gameplay, the community is eager for the conclusion of established mysteries. The Ancient City Portal is the perfect example. It has incredible lore and a massive build-up, but remains inactive while development focus shifts to minor features.
We want to see the "Trial Chambers energy" applied to the Deep Dark and the End. Please, prioritize expanding the game’s "vertical" depth—new dimensions, combat overhauls, and meaningful progression—rather than just "horizontal" cosmetic updates. Let's make the Ancient City Portal a reality and give the End the revitalization it deserves!
