One of the most frustrating issues with Minecraft Bedrock Marketplace content is that purchased worlds are locked to the version they were created in. This means that if you buy a world made before newer updates—like Vibrant Visuals—you can’t use those features in that world.
For players who invest time building, customizing, and playing in these worlds, this limitation feels unnecessary and restrictive. Minecraft is constantly evolving, and one of its biggest strengths is the ability for worlds to grow alongside updates. Marketplace worlds should follow that same principle.
A simple and impactful improvement would be allowing Marketplace worlds to update just like normal worlds. This would let players experience new features without losing progress or being forced to start over. It would also increase the long-term value of Marketplace purchases and improve overall player satisfaction.
Removing version locking would make Minecraft feel more connected, flexible, and future-proof for everyone.
