Sulfuric acid that damage entities, corrodes metals and explodes with water

Spawn pools of sulfuric acid in the sulfur caves, that damage the players slowly until they touch water. The acid explodes and disappears when in contact with water. It also oxidises copper and iron faster to turn into a new block set rusty iron: exposed iron, weathered iron and thoroughly rusted iron that is completely rusted and will turn into a cracked wariant when touching water.

    This is a great idea, there could be poisonous water with the potent sulfur and also a new liquid: acid.

    Sulfuric acid would hurt and kill you in real life, so I agree 100% it should hurt you in the game too. It's ridiculous that Mojang refused to implement fireflies as mobs because "they're poisonous to frogs" and then turn around and let you swim freely in deadly acid.
