Hydrogen sulfide and high acidity

The gas produced by sulfur lakes is hydrogen sulfide (h2s) which is HIGHLY toxic! Inhalation can lead to respiratory paralysis, loss of consciousness and death, long term exposure can also lead to neurological issues. As for the lakes themselves they are highly acidic with an average ph 1-2 which on immediate contact causes severe chemical burns.
