Vulcans at the top of the mountains

Since this drop will have the addition of sulfur, why not add an Volcanic like biome at the top of the moutains that also contains Sulfur blocks with lava pools that have dangerous geisers which cause damage on the player.

  Or maybe it could be a generation feature on top of some mountains, just like geodes at deepslate for example.

  mini-biome for this could work, considering it would be better if it had some volcanic rock/ash around instead of usual stones and dirt, in middle of minibiome, volcano with lava column going deep into ground with big lava pool on the end there, maybe even scorched trees around (basically just few logs) could generate, black wood type with black (dark gray) planks and other wooden blocks, any tree grown on volcanic ash (not just in volcanic biome so you can farm them elsewhere too) grows without leaves, and schorched logs replace original wood, in shape tree would have normally, but blocks themselves would be same regardless of saplings used so there isnt needed to be made black recolor of every single existing and upcoming wood type
