I see the vision you guys are going with that same cave sublayer oddity vibe as the amethyst geodes. I can see how people want the sulfur cave to be seen as a whole new cave biome with a new potential hostile mob, but it seems like the biome is supposed to be a more surprising twist to an existing cave. Like, suppose you are like moving around in one large normal cave with the same hostile creatures and dark eerie unsettling factor, but while getting more lost, more strange geology formations get uncovered and you keep finding new strange and newly discovered rooms within the same seemingly average cave (geodes, sulfur caves). Not as a new structure like dungeons, but integrated in the the cave itself. I find that very interesting. However, I wish you would make the sulfur blocks, gas and slime highly flammable & sensitive (spreads fire QUICKLY and burns fast) and corrosive to a specific armor(s) type so there would be a subtle and unseen danger to it. Not an annoying and outright mob, but a unique hidden slow burner that breaks your stuff and makes you more vulnerable and puts you in danger without you even noticing. Despite the unsettling atmosphere, there being no new hostile mobs and only a passive mob wouldn’t give an obviously dangerous atmosphere at first, hiding the real danger under the surface.
