When players respawn the Ender Dragon, it appears instantly as a full adult.
Adding a short baby dragon growth phase would make the End feel more alive and give the dragon egg real purpose without changing progression or difficulty.
After the end crystals activate, the egg could hatch into a baby Ender Dragon instead of spawning the adult immediately. The baby would be hostile, invulnerable, and visually distinct—small, expressive, and fast. Over the course of three in‑game days, it would grow into the full Ender Dragon we know.
This mirrors mechanics Minecraft already uses (like the Wither’s charge‑up), keeps the End dangerous during the transition, and adds atmosphere without slowing players down. It also gives the dragon egg a natural role in the world, turning it from a trophy into a living artifact.
A growth phase would strengthen End lore, make the respawn ritual feel more meaningful, and create a memorable moment for players returning to the End. It’s a simple addition that deepens the world without complicating gameplay.
