Ark of the Covenant

After hundreds of hours of endless search, there it is. The Ark!

Simple idea, a structure consisting of a small underground cavern with a golden ark buried deep underground. It would be so rare that most players would never even find it. Some would even say that its existence is a legend. Some would not even know that it exists (much like the overworld fossils). Those that find it would be blessed with amazing treasures…

• Appearance: An ornate golden box with an elaborate lid with two figures. Very similar to popular representations such as in paintings or movies such as Indiana Jones. To achieve the shaping Gold Stairs and Slabs might be needed.

It would be the centerpiece of an underground room similar to the tombs of Ancient Egyptian pharaohs maybe made from carved Gold or carved Lapis Lazuli blocks.

• Treasure: Inside the Ark, there should be something truly special.
• I’m thinking of blocks of Netherite and some exclusive loot for gameplay reasons.
• Manna, a heavenly sort of food similar to coriander seeds in size but white. In Minecraft, it could maybe be an unfarmable instahealth food.

Generation: The Ark would be ridiculously rare. Finding it should require true effort. Maybe via a new kind of Explorer Map that is really hard to get hold of, or via a new method in the vein of the Eye of Ender. The mythological Ark of the Covenant is supposedly made from acacia wood, then plated with pure gold. To give a nod to this, the Ark could only generate under Savannas.
