Enderman block placement and picking up balance

Unlike other things that can affect your builds (ex. lightning and creepers), enderman block placing and picking up doesn't have any method of stopping such occurrences nor is it player driven. Nor is the selection of blocks one that a player could simply choose not to use. Enderman can pick up many blocks use in making terrain (dirt, grass, moss, mycelium, etc.). One simple fix might be to have enderman unable to pick up blocks in areas of light level greater than 0 and unable to place block in said areas.
