When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

A tank that stores liquids more efficiently than cauldrons and chests.

I know that we have cauldrons, but cauldrons are very inefficient on space, and chests require buckets I think that the tank should be built like portals. You could move the liquids using pipes. These pipes could be made of copper and obsidian. Obsidian for lava, and copper for about all other liquids. This could be another use for copper so we don't have more items like flint where there is little use. The system for showing how full the tank is could use a water line of some sort. Each tank could hold maybe 250 buckets of a specific liquid. It would be cool if you could use this for potions as well(Therefore a bucket would equal 3 for potions). The pipes would word like Redstone so there are no special pipe pieces. There should also be a difference between waxed and non-waxed copper pipes. The tanks would be made of copper or obsidian.

Please give me your opinions on this idea.
