Right now, the End Portal is too easy to activate. Speedrunners can beat the game in under 2 minutes, which means most of Minecraft's world goes completely unexplored. My suggestion: replace the current 12 identical Ender Eyes with 12 UNIQUE Ender Eyes, each obtained from a different biome or dimension.
Examples:
- Ocean Eye — drop from Elder Guardian in Ocean Monument
- Nether Eye — found in Nether Fortress or Bastion Remnant
- Jungle Eye — reward for solving Jungle Temple puzzle
- Desert Eye — survive the Desert Temple trap
- Ice Eye — hidden in Igloo basement secret room
- Mountain Eye — earned by completing a Raid
- Sculk Eye — survive the Warden in Ancient City (hardest one!)
- Shipwreck Eye — buried in underwater Treasure Chest
This would make EVERY biome feel meaningful and necessary. Right now players can skip the jungle, ocean, and most of the overworld entirely. With this system, you MUST explore everything before reaching the End.
It also makes multiplayer more fun — teams can split up and explore different areas simultaneously.
The End has been unchanged since 2011. Please give it the attention it deserves!
