A new mob that is tied to the deep dark and skulk. The glowzard would be a small black lizard with glowing blue eyes and tail similar to the glow of a enderman or spider's eyes. The design would be reminiscent to the warden and skulk.
The glowzard would be a relatively weak hostile mob that doesn't overwhelm the player, but pesters the player by sneaking up on them in the dark and attacking them before fleeing. It's the possibility of it tricking a player into causing enough of a ruckus that could provoke a warden that makes it dangerous. And to prevent a glowzard itself from just immediately alerting a warden of your presence, the glowzard itself would produce no noise, so it can't activate skulk sensors or get a wardens attention. It would be a symbiotic relationship between the two mobs, something that doesn't really occur in the game as of now.
The glowzard can just spawn in general throughout the deep dark, but I would prefer if they spawn mostly around skulk. Ultimately the developers would know what would be the best balance in that regard. They would drop very little experience points because they themselves aren't a threat. Maybe there could be some way to tame them to keep as just a cute little pet? There aren't many reptile mobs, so glowzards could substitute for that department.
Ultimately, I think the glowzard would be a cool inhabitant to live alongside the wardens in the deep dark, and could bring about moments of panic when the player just suddenly gets hit.
