1.20 should focus on parity

1.20 should focus on parity changes and adding items that were previously said to be in a later update. The community desperately needs a parity update. There are so many features that java has that bedrock wants, and vice versa. There are also a few items that were removed from 1.18 because they needed to be further worked on. Dedicating an entire update to parity and canceled features would be amazing.

    Honestly, I agree. Bedrock is missing various features compared to Java, such as offhand items, UI, not being able to go back to previous versions, enchantments, hardcore and spectator mode, and even little features like achievements being different. 

    Mojang has stated in the past that they would like to make Java Edition and Bedrock Edition similar almost to the point you can't tell the difference, however technical and coding differences makes this process slow.

    I'd love to see this happen, and it's something I wish Mojang put more priority into, it would end a lot of arguments.

    I personally agree with it.
    However, there is one parity that is not possible in Java and Bedrock.
    In Java, baby dolphins are included in "Rejected" of "Minecraft's Suggestion Box".
    In Bedrock, Spectral arrow and Glowing cannot express light emission due to the engine.
    Other than that, even if it becomes "Works As Intended" etc., I would like to eliminate parity as much as possible by voting here and expressing dissenting opinions on the bug tracker.
