A Band of Wandering Villagers would consist of three to five Tents (same structures as found in Pillager Outposts), up to twice that many Wandering Villagers with up to 50% being Baby Villagers, and a number of Iron Golems.
Like Wandering Traders, a Wandering Villager Band is generated at random times and in semi-random locations. Each Wandering Villager would have an assigned profession without needing the appropriate job site (and cannot be changed by players) and starts with their own experience level (starting level up to Journeyman) which can be increased by trades. Wandering Villagers have the same other general traits as regular Villagers such as being bothered by Zombies, sleeping under Tents at night, and getting turned into Witches if struck by lightning.
As long as the chunk containing the Wandering Villager Band's meeting point remains loaded, the Band and its structures will not disappear. But if the chunk becomes unloaded for a long enough period of time, the Band of Wandering Villagers, their Golems (unless Nametagged), and whatever is left of their Tent structures will despawn. Blocks placed by a player will remain, however.
Wandering VIllager Bands will never generate within 100 blocks of any other structure including Villages or Temples. They should not generate within 250 blocks of a Pillager Outpost or Woodland Mansion. On the other hand, a Wandering Villager Band should show a clear preference for Desert Wells, generating within 50 blocks of them.
