First off, I know that custom world generation isn't likely to be a high focus for development, especially because mods, datapacks and manual tweaking of files allow for much more flexibility without the hassle of having you guys spending weeks on tweaking code, but...
I think that splitting the "World Type" options (found under "More World Options" when creating a new world) into - at least - two options, "World" Type and "Biome type", could be an easy yet valuable addition to the game.
My goal here is essentially to allow player to mix any current - or hopefully future - terrain generation (i.e. Default, Amplified, Superflat, and hopefully Caves and Floating Islands) with any current - aka Single Biome - or future biome options, such as "Warm Biomes Only" or any other variants, like Cold, Humid, Dry, Wet, Temperate, perhaps even allowing us set temprature / humidity ranges.
Additionally, I’m sure many - okay maybe just a few - would really enjoy having the “Large Biomes” replaced by a “Biome Size” slider. I know I did back in the days.
Regardless of any potential additions to biome options, I think it could be very interesting to enable flat worlds with all biomes, or amplified with single biomes, and it seems clunky to simply add a different “World Type” option each time.
Either way, this is just my quick idea, and I'm sure it's way easier said than done, especially with the quality standards you guys have. Thank you for reading this, and keep up the frankly amazing work!
