The Deep Dark City has been looking great thus far, so here are some more ideas for the structure. I won’t include any new items here, though, because I want to focus on the city’s build.
The main “section” of the cities are the large, gateways. I think those will be used for the best forms of loot, and while that is cool, I think that having a good amount of lore inside them is a good idea. Maybe the past civilization that lived in the Deep Dark could’ve been experimenting or harnessing the power of Skulk, until the experiments got out of hand…
I also wanted to touch on the generation of the cities. I think that the cities should be vast, and wide, letting the player get lost in the creepy atmosphere of the structures. It’ll probably already be like this, but I just wanted to say that if not, it could feel condensed and tiny, which isn’t what a city normally.
