The high framerate and resolution that defaults with flagship SoC's causes overheating and tremendous battery drain.
Tested on a Poco X3 Pro with a Snapdragon 860 and iPhone 11 Pro Max with all graphic settings off, at 24 chunks render distance, simulation distance 4, and 60fps.
It consumes ~500-650mah on a static scene. Panning the camera in different directions drains ~750-900mah. Loading new chunks while moving and panning around drains up to ~1300mah depending on how busy the scene is. Tested using the current overlay of Accubattery.
The only solution I can think of for this is a resolution slider and a maximum FPS slider. Reducing both, especially the fps to around 30 will give a big boost to performance and potentially double battery life.
