New RNG value with /scoreboard

Currently in Minecraft, there's no easy way to get a random input from command blocks, and there's no way at all to get a random input from command blocks. What I suggest would be adding a new value to /scoreboard.

Instead of only being able to do:

/scoreboard players set <player name> <scoreboard name> <number>

It'd be nice to also be able to do:

/scoreboard players rng <player name> <min value> <max value> 

This would just generate a random number in between these two values. It'd be a super useful feature for map makers, and it could make generating random things in Minecraft super easy, and possible. I would REALLY appreciate if this could be added to the game, thanks!
