Ability to have a customizable default setting.

I usually like to switch between versions (mostly 1.8.9 and the newer updates), however what I find frustrating is that I kept having to change my controls since it resets. This may seem small however me doing it everytime can get tedious at times. What I suggest is to have an option that allows us to save a customizable default setting that is on on default everytime we switch versions, this is so that we will not be needing to change the controls everytime I switch back.
