The Mineshaft Spector is a translucent, undead mob that takes a shape similar to player, just without legs.
This mob can be found exclusively in abandoned mineshafts. Along with the mob comes new mineshaft loot called "old mining gear." old mining gear can either be a pickaxe or helmet. If you bring some old mining gear to the Mineshaft Specter, the Mineshaft Specter will lead the player to the nearest diamond ore, once there the mob despawns.
Another thing to note about the Mineshaft Specter is that, even though it has only 10 hit points, it can only be damaged by a tool/ weapon enchanted with smite(only taking damage added from the enchantment, tools base damage isn't calculated). This of course means the Mineshaft Specter can't die from environmental damage.
What the Mineshaft Specter brings to Minecraft:
-A new incentive to explore abandoned mineshafts.
-First passive undead mob.
-First mob that needs a specific enchantment to take damage.
P.S. not sure weather to put this in Villagers, NPC, Humanoids or Mobs, Animals, Non-Humanoids.
