Creepers look different in other biomes.

We all know creepers are made out of leaves. We also all know there are many different leaf types. That’s why there should be different types of creepers in different biomes. Creepers in the taiga could look like they are made of spruce leaves! And creepers in birch forests could be made of birch leaves!

    Or, reshade the default skin to biome specific color schemes. That's still vanilla..
