When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Waxed String for using in water

Make a new item called waxed string.  Waxed string could be waterlogged.  You'd also have to make it so trip hooks can be waterlogged.  I can't think of any scenarios would this ruin anything and it would let you put triggers underwater.  I suggested flammable string before for other fun uses, but there were situations where people didn't want their string to burn.  Waxed string could burn too, which could create some new ways to trigger things.  

Waxed string could be made by combining beeswax and string.

/May or may not also get pieces of apple peel unstuck from between your teeth.  lol.

    Edit- Maybe also if you set it next to a candle the candle would slowly burn down, letting you create a long fuse?

    Agree. In real life, there is also a water stretch.
