The Howling Revenge

According to Legends back in the old days when families would bury a loved one they would bury a dog alive so that it's spirit could come back to guard there loved ones graves. It was often described as a black dog with red eyes. I think it would be interesting to have a boss mob that is only summoned when you slay by your own hand a wolf that has been tamed and named. The Howling Revenge would start out as a status effect similar to the Bad Omen but when the player reached his village and the sun went down and the moon arose rather than hearing the Pillager horn the player would hear a Howl in the night followed by the sound of a villager in peril. When the player went to investigate he would encounter a giant black wolf with red eyes. If the player was successful in hunting and killing the howling Revenge he would receive a wolf cowl to wear in place of a helmet that gave the player invisibility and high jump status effects.
