Drifters

Drifters are villagers who had to flee their village due to illager raid, they appear as villagers with tattered cloth, with their.

They can show up at your house at daytime, if you give them harmless food items by right clicking them with food, they will drop a small gift(like iron ingot or gold nugget) in return.

And if there's a viable house with unregistered bed nearby when you give them food, they will move in and turn into villager, the idea is that they want to form another community where they can take care of each other.

This way players can also start a village of their own.

Villagers will also give drifters food.

  Perhaps you can also meet them at night, in a makeshift camp. At dawn they would continue their journey.
