Mud in the nether

As you said in minecraft live, you have added a mud block, and you can convert it to clay using dripstone

my idea is that if you put mud in the nether, at random tick update, it will convert into clay, or if you prefer into terracotta.

    What?! no! thats a bad idea, mud is dirt and water, the two things that aren't supposed to be in the nether

     not naturally it's not. but it should almost instantly turn to  dirt in the nether sense water is a no no in the nether

    Or what if it converts into sand finally giving us renewable sand

    This is a great idea considering that you can dry mud into clay with dripstones as well.
