In my and many other players' opinions, Minecraft has been lacking in pets and animals. Regarding pets, there are only five pets that I can think of. These pets include the wolf, cat, parrot, horse, and llama. I feel that there should be more pets to give more of a variety for players to choose from. If Minecraft had more pets, it would give multiplayer players an opportunity to be special in a way and for them to stand out with the unique pet(s) they own. For example: maybe BillyBob has a frog pet, SillySally has a gecko pet, and JimmyJohn has a Lemur pet. All of them all stand out now and they have their own special pets that many other people don't have. Some pet ideas that I can think of at the top of my head include a frog, lizard, gecko, birds, kangaroos, rodents (like bunnies or mice), and maybe even new pets from the nether or end dimensions such as maybe a baby ghast or a baby ender dragon (from hatching an ender dragon egg. These new pets can also have special abilities for each pet. For example, a kangaroo can hold a couple of items for you in its pouch. This update can also bring new items to the game such as birdcages, water bowls, and new types of beds for pets. Also, it could bring new food sources like new kinds of meat. Overall, I think that Minecraft should add a Pets and Animals Update because it will give players a new opportunity to stand out, it will add more foods and items, and I think that it would work great with a biome update.
